Dispatch Supervisor

Located in Round Rock, TX

Salary: $55k - $75l annually, DOE

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a well-established precast concrete manufacturing company to identify a Dispatch Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily transportation and dispatch operations. The Dispatch Supervisor will manage day-to-day operations for dispatch personnel and company drivers to ensure efficient deliveries, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, communication, and operational efficiency.

 

Schedule: Full-time day shift, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday work to support deliveries and operations.

Pay: Competitive salary range of $55,000 – $75,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications)

 

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience in logistics within a manufacturing or construction environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily operations of dispatch personnel and company drivers
• Plan, coordinate, and optimize delivery schedules to meet production timelines and customer needs
• Monitor driver assignments, routes, hours of service, and DOT compliance
• Ensure all deliveries are executed safely, on time, and in accordance with company standards
• Serve as the primary point of contact for transportation-related issues, including delays, equipment issues, and customer inquiries
• Collaborate with production, yard, and plant teams to align dispatch activities with manufacturing schedules
• Conduct daily check-ins with drivers to review routes, safety expectations, and load requirements
• Enforce safety policies, provide coaching, and address performance or disciplinary issues as needed
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, delivery logs, and reports
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of dispatch and driving staff
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality

 

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in dispatch, transportation, or logistics, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or precast concrete environments
• Prior supervisory or lead experience managing dispatchers and/or truck drivers
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and transportation best practices
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Proficient with dispatch software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office applications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in precast concrete, construction materials, or heavy manufacturing
• CDL knowledge or experience working directly with CDL drivers
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
