Layout Technician (Mechanical)

Located in Richardson, TX

Salary: 17-21/hr

Position: Layout Technician (Mechanical) 

$17 to $21 per hour, depending on experience level.

There is no regular overtime; however, availability may be required occasionally. Overtime is not common.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
• Break: 9:00 am to 9:15 am
• Lunch: 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Operate tools such as jigsaw, grinder, and drill.
• Measure materials accurately using a measuring tape.
• Cut metal and stainless steel.
• Drill and perforate materials.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical layout drawings (AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).
• Identify and assemble components inside electrical panels according to layout.
• Follow drawings and dimensions for proper mechanical installation.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Requirements:

• Experience using jigsaw, grinder, and drill.
• Ability to read and use a measuring tape.
• Knowledge of cutting and drilling metal and stainless steel.
• Ability to read layout and electrical drawings (AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Knowledge of components installed inside electrical panels.
• Language preference: Spanish or English (bilingual a plus).
• Attention to detail and strong safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
