Express Employment is now seeking Heavy Equipment Operators for a company in the Columbia area! The heavy equipment operator will be responsible for operating equipment to assist in the construction of various structures. This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule, depending on the project and starting pay of $19 based on experience.

Responsibilities include:

· Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures

· Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers

· Ensure company equipment, material and the work site are maintained, kept clean and stored in a safe manner.

· Collect and dispose of scrap and excess materials

· Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow

· Travel out of town to work on remote job sites as directed by management.

Qualifications

· 1+ years’ experience operating a variety of heavy equipment

· Ability to lift up to 50lbs

· Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

· Ability to travel out of town during the week or on weekends

· Ability to work a flexible schedule
