1st Shift CNC Lathe Setup & Programmer (Large Parts)

We are in need of an experienced CNC Lathe Setup & Programmer to join our 1st shift team. This role focuses on full machine setups and programming for CNC lathes, working primarily with larger parts. This is a strong opportunity for a skilled machinist looking for long-term stability and growth.

Shift:

• Monday–Thursday: 6:00am–3:30pm

• Friday: 6:00am–10:00am

Pay:

• $28–$33/hr (flexible based on experience)

Overtime:

• Often available

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Perform full setups on CNC lathes

• Write, edit, and understand G-code programs

• Set tools, offsets, and verify programs

• Read and interpret blueprints and job travelers

• Use precision measuring instruments, including:

  • Calipers

  • Micrometers

  • Dial bore gauges

  • Surface testers

  • Thread micrometers

• Machine and inspect large parts as required

• Maintain quality and troubleshoot machining issues

Experience Required:

• 5+ years of current CNC lathe setup and programming experience

• Strong knowledge of G-code programming

• Experience with Fanuc controls preferred

• Ability to safely handle and move larger components
