Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications:

• Possess knowledge of working properties of Aerospace metals and skill with machine tools to plan, Set-Up & carry out the operations needed to make machined products that meet their precise specifications.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments required for general machine shop use.
• Use the proper measuring tools in order to check the accuracy of their work against blueprints.
• Have the ability to set-up & operate Manual Lathes, Mills, other machine shop equipment.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Adhere to safe operating procedures.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

 Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years using HAAS controls (mill and lathe)
• Mechanically inclined individual with good problem-solving ability.
• Able to produce accurate work (tolerances reach .0005” -.001” of an inch).
• Mathematical machining skills required.
• Proficient working with Haas lathes and Mills.
• Familiarization with Aerospace Materials.
• Ability to create subroutines in MDI.
• Must have knowledge in editing programs to meet certain part requirements.
• Good understanding of feeds and speeds pertaining to various materials.
• Proficient in fixture and part setup.
• Skilled using various gaging equipment (od id micrometers, depth gages, height gages, bore gages etc.)
• A solid background in reading drawings conforming to ASME Y14.5 standards.
