Staff Accountant in McCall

Salary: $22-24/hr.

Express Employment is seeking a staff accountant in McCall in a resort.  Job duties include:

• Preparing and sending group billing through coordination with catering and banquet teams
• Following up calls on all delinquent group accounts
• Ensuring resort deposit policy is being adhered to with all group contracts
• Collecting and posting all deposits for groups
• Collecting and maintaining all pertinent backup for group billings
• Posting daily deposit checks, member payments and other A/R payments
• Preparing daily journal entry
• Performing all accounting functions in accordance with proper internal control procedures.
• Preparing and maintaining monthly reconciliations of cash, accounts receivable, prepaids, and income accounts
• Providing support to General Cashier and A/P staff as needed
• Performing and completing other accounting duties, special projects, and tasks as needed

 

Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience
• College degree in accounting/finance preferred
• Understanding of accounting concepts including debits/credits, chart of accounts, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries
• Experience in hospitality or resort accounting is highly desirable
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
• Professional interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with competent abilities in Excel spreadsheet manipulation
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
• Maintaining clear and accurate records for all adjustments posted
• Previous experience and/or familiarity with Great Plains / Dynamics Accounting Software preferred

 

Other details:

• Position is temporary and expected to be four months in length, with the possibility of temp to hire based on the company’s hiring needs
• Pay rate is $22-24/hr. DOE
