🕖 Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch at noon)

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Office Assistant for a growing company in Jefferson Parish. This role supports daily office operations, customer communication, and administrative processes including quoting, purchasing, and record management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle general office duties including answering phones, monitoring email, and responding professionally and promptly.

  • Compose routine email correspondence.

  • Ensure accuracy and completion of all assigned tasks.

  • Learn to shop for products from approved vendors.

  • Create quotes and estimates for goods and services.

  • Submit quotes to customers and track their lifecycle.

  • Convert approved quotes into invoices.

  • Create and track purchase orders and email them to vendors.

  • Organize vendor invoices for data entry and processing.

  • Enter vendor invoices into the system accurately.

  • Maintain organized filing systems for all documentation.

  • Assist in maintaining customer and vendor records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and QuickBooks.

  • Strong typing and computer skills.

  • Excellent organization and multitasking ability.

  • Professional, courteous communication with customers and vendors.

  • High attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes.

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday

  • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • 1-hour lunch at 12:00 PM
