Express Employment of Downey is currently seeking a QUALITY INSPECTOR for a manufacturer in the city of Vernon, CA.

PAY: $25.00 to $27.00 an hour (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

SHIFTS: Monday through Friday, 2PM to 10:30PM (MUST be open to overtime during the week and on weekends and willing to train on morning shift upon starting)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: long-term/permanent hire

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in a quality inspector role REQUIRED
• Must have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly, and test operations
• Effective utilization of CMMs is a plus
• Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitude
• Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills
• Familiar with architectural industry standards, specifications, and practices
• Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper, and height gauge

Responsibilities:

• Perform in process and final inspection of parts/products
• Documenting dimensional and visual inspections to the drawing or applicable procedures
• Documenting non-conforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) process
• Provide constructive feedback to production team members based on quality inspection results
• Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, tape readouts and shop orders to plan and check work
• Other duties as needed or instructed
