Refrigeration Operator – Class B

Pay Rate: up to $50/hour
Location: North York, ON
Shift: Rotating shifts (weekends as required)

We are seeking an experienced a Refrigeration Class B Operator to join its growing maintenance team. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity within a high-volume production environment that offers stability, growth, and strong internal advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot refrigeration and plant equipment
• Operate and maintain ammonia-based refrigeration and freezer systems
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
• Support machining, fabrication, and equipment upgrades as required
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Refrigeration Class B License (required)
• Class 3 or Class 4 Stationary Engineer certification preferred
• Millwright or Electrician license considered an asset
• Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably within food manufacturing or an industrial setting
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong multitasking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends as required
