Experience Masking & Painters for aerospace company needed in Santa Clarita, Ca. 

-3 openings on a day shift 6am-2:30pm (Plus OT) 

- opening on the 2nd shift 3pm-11:30pm (Plus OT)

The Masking & Painting Technician is responsible for protecting precision aircraft components during painting and coating processes. This role ensures high-quality workmanship by accurately masking, inspecting, and detailing parts in compliance with engineering requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mask, plug, and protect precision surfaces, bores, threads, bushings, bearing areas, and mating surfaces prior to paint or coating.

• Interpret and follow work orders, engineering drawings, process specifications, and customer requirements.

• Apply and remove tapes, caps, plugs, sealants, and masking materials per approved procedures.

• Perform detailed cleaning, stripping, touch-up, and final detailing of painted and coated components.

• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, completeness, and workmanship.

• Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or process deviations.

• Safely handle and move landing gear components using proper lifting techniques.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S and FOD prevention standards.

 

Requirements:

• English proficiency required.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to meet ITAR compliance requirements.

• Ability to pass an FAA-certified drug test and background check.

• Must be able to work overtime during the week and weekends as business needs require.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
