RSO Machine Operator – Joliet, IL

Pay: $19/hr Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 7:00am–3:30pm

• 2nd Shift: 4:00pm–12:30am Start Date: ASAP

Purpose of the Role

The RSO Machine Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently sorting pallets using the SMETCO sorting machine while supporting overall production goals.

Key Accountabilities

• Strict adherence to all safety behaviors and procedures

• Operate a large industrial pallet‑sorting machine

  • Sort pallets by manufacturer, quality, and grade through visual and hands‑on inspection

  • Perform manual pallet sorting as needed

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently (training and certification provided)

  • Load and unload trailers, move pallets, freight, and materials

• Maintain sanitation and “Clean as You Go” standards

• Lift up to 70 lbs consistently throughout the shift

• Perform repetitive motion tasks including bending, twisting, and lifting

• Meet minimum production and quality requirements

• Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership

• Work effectively within a diverse team environment

Skills & Knowledge

• Machine operation experience preferred, not required

• Forklift experience/certification preferred, not required

• Experience in fast‑paced warehouse or manufacturing environments preferred

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred

• Drug screen required (no THC)

• Background check required
