Staff Accountant (Non - Profit)

Express Employment Professionals Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a full time Staff Accountant for a non-profit client. This organization empowers people by providing access to high-quality health care and social services. Since its founding more than 40 years ago, they remain one of Philadelphia’s largest community-based providers of internal medicine and health care for the community. This position reports to the Director of Finance and is fully on site, 5 days a week.

The Staff Accountant will be managing the general ledger, reconciling accounts, processing payables/receivables, preparing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements), and assisting with taxes and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, serving as a crucial support role for an accounting department.

Requirements

·      Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

·      Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the nonprofit sector.

·      Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks)and Microsoft Office Suite.

·      Proficiency in accounting principles.

·      Proven experience in grant accounting within the nonprofit sector preferred

Compensation & Benefits

·      Base salary of $80,000 to $90,000
