Gambini Machine Operator

Location: Rock Hill, SC
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (Fridays off, no scheduled weekends)
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

About the Role

A paper manufacturing company in Rock Hill is adding to its production team and is seeking a Gambini Operator. This role is very hands-on and suited for someone who is comfortable working on the manufacturing floor and is looking to grow their mechanical skillset. Prior machining experience is helpful, but not required. Training is provided, and the position offers a clear path from entry-level work to advanced machine operation.

Gambini Operators play a key part in the production process. They help maintain consistency, accuracy, and overall product quality across the full winder line.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a solid understanding of product specifications across all product types.
• Learn and apply a full working knowledge of the complete winder line.
• Identify how spec variations impact finished goods and adjust machine settings accordingly.
• Gain and maintain an in-depth understanding of various paper grades used in production.
• Keep machines running smoothly to support efficient workflow and reduce downtime.
• Follow all plant safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and mechanical adjustments as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods during 12-hour shifts.
• Frequent repetitive motion.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, up to 10 times per day.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Previous machining or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on additional responsibilities over time.
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding specs and product quality.
• Reliable attendance and a solid work ethic.
