Shipping & Receiving Associate – Springfield, NJ Pay: $22 – $25 per hour (First Shift) Location: Springfield, NJ
Our client in Springfield, NJ is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate to join their team in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with large, extremely heavy products, utilizing overhead cranes, and performing both physical and computer-based tasks.
Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, and material-handling equipment to move large manufactured products to shipping and receiving bays
Prepare shipments, including building and securing crates or shipping containers using hand and power tools
Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, conditions, and correct documentation
Use computers to generate and print shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in internal systems
Inspect items for damage and report discrepancies
Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery
Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow all safety policies and procedures
Previous experience in shipping/receiving within an industrial or manufacturing setting is required
Ability to operate overhead cranes and move very large/heavy items
Experience using hand tools and power tools to construct crates or secure loads
Ability to use computers and shipping software for labels and documentation
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and safely work in a physically demanding environment
Mandatory background screening and drug testing
Reliable and strong work ethic
First Shift
$22 – $25 per hour based on experience
