Diesel Mechanic

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a Central Iowa company seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team! This is a full-time and evaluation to hire position. This position starts at $30/hr, dependent on experience. The ideal candidate should have prior diesel technician/mechanic experience. 

Environment: 

• This is a 1st shift schedule Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
• This is a locally owned, commercial truck repair company. Must be comfortable working in a smaller environment
• Casual clothing is preferred, must be comfortable and lightweight to move around in. Must have steel-toed boots

Duties: 

• Perform heavy duty truck/trailer repair & maintenance
• Read & interpret work orders, service info, and wiring diagrams
• Communicates with Service Advisor/Writer & Manager

Skills/Experience Needed: 

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Be able to climb in/out of truck cabs, underneath trucks, bending, walking, and manipulating tools/equipment
• Must have at least 5 years of diesel technician/mechanic experience
• Need to be familiar wth power, hand tools, and other equipment used in servicing vehicles
