We are currently seeking a skilled Shipping and Receiving Operator to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for assembling customer orders using sit down forklifts and overhead cranes to stage materials for pickup, and ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment. The ideal candidate has experience operating overhead cranes and powered industrial trucks (PIT), can accurately read a measuring tape, and possesses a strong mechanical aptitude.

 Responsibilities:
•    Utilize an overhead crane to pick, organize, and assemble metal materials according to customer orders
•    Prepare and stage completed orders for pickup or delivery, ensuring accuracy and proper handling
•    Operate PIT equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) to transport materials within the facility safely
•    Verify order specifications using measuring tools and ensure materials meet customer requirements
•    Conduct daily inspections of overhead cranes and PIT equipment, reporting any maintenance needs
•    Assist with inventory control, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
•    Work closely with team members to fulfill orders efficiently and meet production deadlines

Qualifications:
•    Experience operating overhead cranes and PIT equipment, minimum 3 years experience
•    Willingness to submit to drug and background screening 
•    Ability to read and accurately measure using a standard tape measure
•    Strong mechanical skills and basic troubleshooting ability
•    Previous experience in order fulfillment, material handling, or metal distribution is a plus
•    Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and workplace safety
•    Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
•    Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
