Express Employment Professionals is assisting a well-established non-profit organization in Naples with the search for an experienced Volunteer Coordinator. This is a high-impact role within a satellite office environment, requiring a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.

Position Summary
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily volunteer operations to ensure a safe, engaging, and productive volunteer experience. This role plays a critical part in aligning volunteer efforts with the organization’s mission, values, and operational needs.
From welcoming volunteers to training, supervising, motivating, and thanking them, this individual ensures volunteers feel valued while supporting warehouse and community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Recruit, train, direct, and motivate volunteers to ensure alignment with organizational mission and values

Provide clear communication, leadership, and engagement to maintain positive volunteer relationships

Coordinate daily volunteer activities in collaboration with warehouse and operations teams

Supervise volunteer setup, activities, breakdown, and cleanup

Conduct volunteer orientations, safety training, and food safety instruction

Ensure compliance with all volunteer procedures, safety standards, and food handling guidelines

Resolve volunteer concerns professionally and promptly

Track volunteer activity, assist with inventory reporting, and maintain volunteer work areas

Support food drives, special events, and community outreach initiatives

Maintain volunteer supplies and assist with updating standard operating procedures

Serve in support roles during special events, emergencies, or disaster response efforts
Qualifications & Experience
-
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Volunteer Coordinator or in a supervisory leadership role

Strong people skills, including communication, empathy, and respect

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail

Demonstrated leadership qualities: adaptability, conflict resolution, and motivational skills

Ability to engage, inspire, and retain volunteers

Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with warehouse and operations teams

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

ServSafe Certification required (or willingness to obtain with employer assistance)

Prior experience in warehouse or non-profit environments is highly preferred
Working Conditions

Ability to perform physical labor as needed

Work environment includes both office and warehouse settings

Must tolerate hot, humid, and occasionally noisy conditions

Frequent walking on concrete surfaces

Exposure to dust, noise, and motorized vehicle traffic

Ability to lift, bend, stoop, pull, and move items weighing 30–50 pounds

Reliable transportation required for events and community activities
