HR Generalist
Jacksonville, IL | Full-Time | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

A family-owned company in the Jacksonville, IL area is seeking an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations and help guide people-related processes across the organization. This role offers a mix of hands-on HR work and long-term growth, with room to learn and make an impact over time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Handle employee relations and assist with conflict resolution

• Manage recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding

• Support performance management and employee coaching

• Assist with policy development and ensure HR compliance

• Administer employee benefits and provide employee support

• Process payroll and support HR systems management

• Assist with safety management and training initiatives

• Maintain confidentiality and ethical HR practices at all times

• Collaborate with leadership and departments to support workforce needs and improve HR processes

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred

• Previous experience in an HR role strongly preferred

• Knowledge of employment and labor laws

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Comfortable navigating a small-company environment where some processes are still evolving

• Professional, patient, and adaptable approach to change
