Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Contract Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate patient care in a school setting. Immediate opportunity beginning January 5, 2026 - June 10, 2026.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive patient support including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
• Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and treatments following established protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, wound care, sterile processing, and suture management while maintaining aseptic technique.
• Support triage activities by evaluating patient symptoms, prioritizing care needs, and coordinating urgent or emergent responses in emergency room or urgent care settings.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient interactions, procedures performed, and clinical observations ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.Requirements
• Valid LPN license in good standing with current state licensure requirements.
• Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU and Level II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding is highly desirable.
• Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway management, and acute pain management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Ability to perform venipuncture (venipuncture), phlebotomy (blood draws), specimen collection/processing, and administering injections confidently.
• Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to working with people with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting or repositioning tasks using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
