Detail Manager

Located in Madison, WI

Salary: $20 - $25/hr

Express is hiring for a Detail Manager at a local car wash on the West side of Madison.  

This role is responsible for managing daily detailing activities, supervising and training staff, ensuring top-quality service, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and customer-focused work environment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional vehicle care.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage daily operations of the detailing department, including scheduling and workflow

• Provide quotes to customers on various different motor vehicles - cars, trucks, boats, trailers, recreational vehicles, etc.

• Supervise, train, and coach detailers to ensure consistent quality and efficiency

• Perform and oversee interior and exterior detailing services to company standards

• Inspect completed vehicles for quality control and customer satisfaction

• Maintain inventory of detailing supplies, chemicals, and equipment

• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of all tools and equipment

• Address customer questions or concerns related to detailing services

• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards

• Collaborate with site management to improve processes, upsell services, and meet revenue goals

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in automotive detailing preferred

• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor/indoor environment

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work on vehicles for extended periods

 

Pay: $20 - $25/hr, + comission/vehicle 

 

Hours: Vary, must be available some weekends. Around 40 hours a week. Open M-Sat 8am - 5:30pm, Sun 9am - 4pm.
