Class A Driver

Salary: $18-$22/hour

Express Employment is hiring CDL-A drivers for several companies in the Hattiesburg area! 

• $18-$22/hour
• Day Shift 
• Long Term Full Time
• Weekly Pay

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, etc.) safely and efficiently
• Transport freight to assigned destinations on schedule
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and documented
• Maintain accurate logs (ELD, hours of service, mileage, fuel)
• Comply with DOT, federal, state, and local regulations
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, or issues
• Report accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle maintenance needs
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Clean driving record (as defined by company and DOT standards)
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening
• Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and hours-of-service rules
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Ability to lift, load, or unload freight if required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Ability to climb into and out of truck cabs
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (depending on cargo)
