Summary

Experienced, detail-oriented purchaser needed to manage ordering and inventory for an auto parts operation serving repair shops and internal service teams. This role focuses on accurate, timely ordering, vendor coordination, and maintaining optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted operations.

Key responsibilities

• Place and track purchase orders for parts and supplies using purchasing systems.
• Maintain inventory levels through regular cycle counts and demand forecasting.
• Communicate with vendors to confirm lead times, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate pricing.
• Process returns and credits and reconcile invoices with receiving records.
• Coordinate with warehouse and service teams to prioritize urgent orders and manage backorders.
• Generate purchasing reports and recommend cost-saving or process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years in purchasing, inventory control, or parts procurement (auto parts experience preferred).
• Skills: Strong attention to detail; proficiency with purchasing/ERP systems and Excel; solid vendor-management and negotiation skills.
• Attributes: Organized, deadline-driven, good communicator, able to prioritize multiple requests.
• Physical: Ability to review warehouse stock and occasionally assist with receiving as needed.

• Hourly pay: $23–$30 depending on experience.
• Schedule: Standard daytime hours, Monday–Friday, 8–5.
