Nursery Grower – Full-Time

Express Employment on 99^th and Fort is seeking a skilled and motivated Nursery Grower to assist with the planning, coordination, and supervision of growing operations for annuals and tropical plants in a large-scale nursery and garden center environment.

Position Details:

·         Type: Full-Time

·         Schedule: Flexible hours based on operational needs; extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required

·         Work Environment: In-person, outdoor/greenhouse setting

·         Pay/Salary: Up to $22.00 per hour

Job Duties:

·         Manage and oversee daily growing activities for annuals and tropical crops.

·         Coordinate and perform cultural practices including planting, transplanting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and irrigation management.

·         Assist with pesticide application in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.

·         Support operational planning, scheduling, and forecasting related to crop production.

·         Develop, implement, and maintain best growing practices.

·         Conduct trials and experiments to evaluate and improve crop quality and production methods.

·         Work independently and collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

·         Degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field preferred.

·         Container growing experience required.

·         Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

·         Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and stay organized.

·         Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.

·         Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

·         Willingness to work flexible and extended hours, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
