Customer Service Specialist
Located in Fortuna, CA
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 DOE
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist. This role is responsible for weighing vehicles, handling customer transactions, and providing excellent customer service both in-person and over the phone. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with cash handling, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Weigh inbound and outbound vehicles using the scale system

Collect and reconcile cash and payment transactions

Provide professional customer service to the public and commercial drivers

Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries

Perform data entry and maintain accurate records

Assist customers with starting/stopping services, payments, and general questions

Transition to office-based call center and walk-in customer support duties after training

Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:

Strong customer service background

Experience with cash handling and reconciling a cash drawer

Data entry and basic computer skills

Professional phone etiquette

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment

Reliable attendance and ability to work weekends
-
Previous weighmaster or waste industry experience is a plus but not required
Schedule:
Schedule will be determined based on operational needs. Weekend availability is required.
Location
This position in the Fortuna vicinity and is located several miles from a bus line and the schedule does not sync with bus schedules.
