Customer Service Specialist

Located in Fortuna, CA

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 DOE

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist. This role is responsible for weighing vehicles, handling customer transactions, and providing excellent customer service both in-person and over the phone. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with cash handling, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weigh inbound and outbound vehicles using the scale system

• Collect and reconcile cash and payment transactions

• Provide professional customer service to the public and commercial drivers

• Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries

• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records

• Assist customers with starting/stopping services, payments, and general questions

• Transition to office-based call center and walk-in customer support duties after training

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service background

• Experience with cash handling and reconciling a cash drawer

• Data entry and basic computer skills

• Professional phone etiquette

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment

• Reliable attendance and ability to work weekends

• Previous weighmaster or waste industry experience is a plus but not required

Schedule:
Schedule will be determined based on operational needs. Weekend availability is required.

Location

This position in the Fortuna vicinity and is located several miles from a bus line and the schedule does not sync with bus schedules.
