Salary: $18.00/hr+
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Maintenance Technician to service, inspect, and repair forklifts and other industrial equipment. This role is essential to keeping our operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable troubleshooting a wide range of equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial lifts, and other industrial equipment
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and maintain service schedules
Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, including brakes, hoses, chains, bearings, and tires
Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper and safe operation
Respond to equipment breakdowns and service calls in a timely manner
Follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements
Keep tools, work areas, and maintenance shops clean and organized
Communicate equipment conditions, repair needs, and safety concerns to supervisors
Previous experience maintaining forklifts or industrial equipment
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Basic knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and internal combustion or electric motors
Ability to read manuals, service bulletins, and schematics
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to industrial equipment
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physically able to lift heavy parts and work in industrial environments
Forklift technician or heavy equipment mechanic certification
Experience with electric, propane, diesel, and gasoline forklifts
Welding or fabrication experience
Valid driver’s license
Experience using diagnostic software or electronic service tools
Industrial shop and yard environments
Exposure to noise, grease, oils, and heavy machinery
Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions
