Position: Quality Control / Quality Assurance SpecialistLocation: Salem, ORJob Type: Full-Time day shift Pay rate: $18-$19 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Perform lab testing on raw materials, packaging, and finished products
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with product specifications
Prepare and manage laboratory reagents and maintain lab equipment
Support sanitation processes and yeast culturing procedures
Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field or 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing quality control
Knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, GFSI, and microbial culture techniques
Strong math skills for concentration and dilution calculations
Ability to work in a lab setting with exposure to odors, chemicals, and temperature variations
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilitiesPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Comfortable working in environments with heat, cold, dust, and noise
