Schedule: 40 hours per week

Job Description

A well-established infusion pharmacy client is seeking an experienced Billing & Collections Specialist with a strong background in infusion pharmacy billing and CPR+ software. This role focuses on managing unbilled revenue, insurance follow-ups, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement from commercial, Medicare, and Medi-Cal payers.

CPR+ experience is required. Infusion pharmacy billing experience is required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electronic adjudication of prescription benefit claims, including Medicare Part D
  • Manage and work the Ready-to-Bill queue daily to ensure timely claim submission
  • Review claims for accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines
  • Perform billing, collections, denial management, and appeals
  • Follow up with insurance companies to resolve unpaid or denied claims
  • Process unworked tickets within 48 hours and resolved tickets within 24 hours
  • Review delivery tickets and submit claims per payer-specific requirements
  • Submit secondary claims with appropriate documentation when applicable
  • Identify trends causing rejections or delays and communicate findings
  • Research payer portals for billing updates and policy changes
  • Support A/R goals, cash collections, and month-end close
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Overtime may be required to meet departmental goals

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1–2+ years of Infusion Pharmacy billing and collections experience (required)
  • Hands-on experience with CPR+ software (required)
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance, managed care, Medicare, and Medi-Cal
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
