Job Title: Draftsman (SolidWorks Proficient)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Draftsman proficient in SolidWorks to create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models in support of engineering and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will translate concepts, sketches, and engineering specifications into precise technical drawings while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D part and assembly models using SolidWorks

• Produce 2D technical drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and notes

• Prepare drawings for manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly

• Revise and update drawings based on engineering or client feedback

• Apply GD&T, materials, finishes, and bill of materials (BOMs)

• Ensure drawings comply with ANSI, ISO, or ASME standards

• Maintain organized CAD files and version control

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (Parts, Assemblies, and Drawings)

• Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, welding, etc.)

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong communication and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, CAD, or Engineering Technology

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical drafting or CAD design

• Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis

• Familiarity with PDM systems and document control
