Job Overview:

The Construction Estimator is responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This role plays a critical part in bidding, budgeting, and cost control, ensuring projects are financially viable and competitive.

• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to prepare detailed cost estimates

• Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment

• Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and scope compliance

• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals

• Develop project budgets and cost breakdowns

• Identify potential risks, value-engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors

• Track historical cost data and maintain estimating databases

• Assist with change order pricing and cost revisions during construction

• Ensure estimates comply with company standards and project requirements
