Salary: $60,000 to $90,000

Our client, a growing Chartered Professional Accounting firm located in the east end, is seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to join their team in a hybrid capacity. This newly created position is well suited to a candidate with a demonstrated track record of developing, managing, and submitting successful government proposals, along with strong research skills to identify opportunities at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Draft, edit, and format high-quality proposals and responses to government RFPs
  • Identify and monitor upcoming bid opportunities through platforms such as MERX, SAP Ariba, Biddingo, and other public procurement portals
  • Collaborate with partners, subject-matter experts, and operations teams to gather required technical and financial content
  • Review and interpret RFP requirements to ensure full compliance and alignment with evaluation criteria
  • Coordinate proposal schedules and milestones to ensure timely completion and submission of all deliverables
  • Maintain a well-organized repository of proposal templates, standard responses, and supporting materials
  • Track submitted proposals and outcomes, providing reporting and insights to support strategic planning
  • Represent the organization at networking events to help drive business development

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of proven experience developing and managing proposals for government contracts and RFPs
  • Strong knowledge of public procurement processes across federal, provincial, and municipal levels
  • Hands-on experience using procurement platforms such as MERX, SAP Ariba, Biddingo, Buyandsell.gc.ca, or similar databases
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Solid project management abilities with a demonstrated capacity to meet tight deadlines
  • Previous experience in a professional services or consulting environment is preferred (e.g., accounting, legal, or engineering firms)
  • Thrives in a relaxed, less structured work environment
  • Resourceful and proactive in finding solutions independently
  • Able to perform effectively under pressure
  • Highly motivated, driven, and committed to delivering results
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset

Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm with flexibility

Salary: $60,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience
