Job Title: Weekend Grinder Operator

Schedule:

• Training: Monday–Wednesday for the first 1–2 weeks

• Regular Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday

• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, typically 7am to 7pm.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weekend Grinder to join our production team. This position is responsible for transforming scrap plastic into high-quality regrind material ready for reuse. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate grinding equipment safely and efficiently to process scrap plastic

• Ensure regrind material meets quality standards, including zero contamination

• Meet daily output requirements as assigned

• Perform detailed record keeping, including labeling, weighing, and inventory documentation

• Follow established maintenance plans and procedures for equipment

• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding scheduling and material needs

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Assist in other departments as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Forklift experience required

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintenance plans

• Dependable attendance and punctuality

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Standing for extended periods of time

• Walking up and down stairs

• Flexibility around machine parts

• Ability to work in an industrial environment

• Hearing and eye protection must be worn at all times as required
