G Class Driver / Warehouse Worker

Salary: $20.00 to $25.00

Our client in Stittsville is seeking a full-time G Class Driver / Warehouse Worker to join their team. Candidates must hold a valid Ontario G Class Driver’s License and have a clean driver’s abstract.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating a commercial vehicle (5-ton truck preferred; 3-ton truck or cube van also acceptable)
• Previous related work experience required
• Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs independently
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Able to follow instructions accurately and attentively
• Good knowledge of Ottawa and surrounding areas, including the Ottawa Valley
• Must possess a clean driver’s abstract

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Safely operating a 3-tonne or 5-tonne truck to deliver merchandise in the Ottawa Valley area (may be required to deliver as far West as Kingston and as far East as Hawkesbury)
• Lifting up to 70lbs – Unloading products manually from truck at client sites with a Helper
• Completing pre and post trip truck inspection reports
• Reporting any truck defects or required repairs to management when needed
• Helping with various tasks in the warehouse – installing hinges on doors using a power drill, unloading trucks, assembling client orders, organizing inventory, keeping work areas clean and orderly, etc. (~20-40% of the time)
• Working in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

The wage for this position starts between $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm.
