Shift Hours: 3:30 PM - Midnight

Salary: $17.50 and $18.24 once rolled over with company

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Grinder to join our team for the second shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing precision grinding operations on a variety of manufactured parts and products. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate grinding machines to perform tasks such as deburring, grinding, polishing, and finishing of manufactured parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and grinding methods and sequences.
• Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure grinding and polishing standards are met.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers, and read a tape measure accurately.
• Inspect finished workpieces for conformance to specifications and rectify any defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Adjust machine controls and change grinding wheels as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing process.
• Complete necessary documentation regarding grinding operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a grinder in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and reading a tape measure accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Physical stamina and strength to operate heavy machinery and work for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
