DRAFTSMAN/MECHANICAL ENGINEER NEEDED FOR A UNIQUE AND EXCITING COMPANY WITH ROOM TO GROW.

OVERVIEW

Assist with recreating legacy 2D drawings and creating SolidWorks CAD models of each component for engineering review and verification. The role will involve interpreting past paper drawings to create new SolidWorks models, verifying basic manufacturing and assembly aspects (tolerances/interferences, weldments, BOM’s), and identifying/flagging inconsistencies or potential design issues. Once the SolidWorks 3D model assembly is verified, 2D drawings of each component will be made using AutoCAD LT.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Drafting, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical drafting/CAD modeling (internships acceptable).
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, some drawings).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD LT for 2D drafting.
• Ability to interpret older or hand-drafted 2D drawings.
• Good understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing methods.
• Strong attention to detail.

 Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Basic GD&T knowledge (not required).
• Weld callout knowledge.
• Experience with manual machining and welding of metal components.
