Job Title: Accounting Assistant / Receptionist

Location: Mission, TX
Schedule: Part-Time, 25–30 hours per week

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and organized Assistant/Receptionist to support daily office operations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with accounting-related tasks, and able to provide professional front-desk support. The position involves handling payments, maintaining records, and assisting with administrative duties in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and sort incoming mail, separating Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Collect HOA and rent payments and issue receipts
  • Prepare daily deposits accurately and timely
  • Look up client account balances and print statements as requested
  • Post payments to accounts using QuickBooks
  • Maintain and organize the conference room and office lounge
  • Answer phones, take accurate messages, and provide general front-desk support
  • Order office supplies and monitor inventory

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Working knowledge of Yardi
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle payments and confidential financial information responsibly
  • Professional communication skills and positive attitude
  • Reliable and punctual

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative, receptionist, or accounting support role
  • Experience working with HOA, property management, or real estate offices
