Job description:

Our client is expanding and is looking for a reliable Operations Technician to support plant operations, equipment monitoring, material handling, and quality control.

This role is perfect for candidates with production, industrial, or machine operation experience who enjoy physical work, problem-solving, and working with heavy equipment in a safe and team-focused environment.

We are looking for candidates that are flexible in shifts, but will be working a straight shift.

Shifts:

Day Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm

Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday 2:30pm to 10:00pm

Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday 10:00pm to 6:00am

Wage:

Hourly Wage: $32.26

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate production equipment and support daily plant operations
  • Package 1000 kg bulk bags using automated loading systems
  • Monitor product quality and accurately record production data
  • Identify, report, and repair issues following standard procedures
  • Load outgoing customer orders and unload incoming deliveries
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and front-end loaders for material handling
  • Work at heights using fall protection (training provided)
  • Run control panels and PLC-based automated systems
  • Evaluate raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications
  • Support preventative maintenance, inspections, and wear-part replacements
  • Maintain accurate written quality and production records
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and operating procedures
  • Assist with other plant tasks as assigned by management

Skills & Experience:

  • Valid 3rd party forklift license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle heavy materials
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or production
  • Ability to follow SOPs, production plans, and safety procedures
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Technical diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Welding experience or Red Seal mechanical training is an asset, not required
  • Experience with loaders, forklifts, and scissor lifts is preferred
  • Solid math skills and attention to detail
