Rodbuster / Rebar Cutter / Fabricator

Location: Bessemer, AL
Pay: BOE (Based on Experience) – $17/hr minimum

A prefabricated building systems manufacturer specializing in electrical substation control buildings and communication shelters is seeking an experienced Rodbuster / Rebar Cutter / Fabricator to support production within a concrete manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

• Cut, bend, and fabricate rebar pieces and rebar cages

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to build cage structures

• Accurately use a tape measure for layout and fabrication

• Manage and complete multiple projects during the same shift

• Work outdoors when required and in varying conditions

• Operate equipment such as forklifts and MEWPs after proper training

• Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties

• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervisor

• May drive or ride in a company vehicle/service truck with proper authorization

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid Driver’s License

• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

• Proven experience with rebar cutting, bending, and cage fabrication

• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints proficiently

• Physically able to:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs

  • Work on knees

  • Perform manual labor in an industrial environment

• Willing to work outdoors as needed

• Willing to perform any assigned task

• Self-motivated and able to work independently

• Reliable transportation

• Willing to work overtime, including weekends

• Flexible end of day; may be required to stay past 3:30 PM until tasks are completed
