Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Mechanic / Shop Hand to support our torque tool operations and daily shop activities. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a diesel or mechanical background who is comfortable working with industrial torque tools, assisting with tool maintenance and calibration, and helping keep the shop organized and running efficiently. This role also includes light customer interaction, so a professional and service-oriented attitude is essential.

Pay

$21.00/Hour

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain, and assist with repairs of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric torque tools
• Support tool calibration, testing, and basic troubleshooting
• Assist with incoming and outgoing tool inventory, cleaning, staging, and documentation
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Assist lead technicians and shop management with daily workflow needs
• Receive and assist customers professionally at the counter or by phone as needed
• Load/unload tools and equipment and prepare items for shipping or pickup
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Mechanical experience required (diesel, heavy equipment, industrial, or similar backgrounds strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assemblies
• Willingness to learn torque tool systems and calibration processes
• Basic computer skills for work orders, inventory tracking, and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
• Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious
• Professional communication and customer service skills

Preferred (Not Required)

• Previous experience working in a shop or service environment
• Experience with hydraulic systems or industrial tooling
• Forklift or warehouse equipment experience
