Plating Technician

Job Summary:
The Plating Technician is responsible for preparing parts and operating plating equipment to apply metal coatings according to customer specifications and quality standards. This role supports the production process by ensuring parts are properly cleaned, plated, inspected, and documented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate plating tanks, rectifiers, and related equipment (electroplating, anodizing, or metal finishing processes).

• Prepare parts for plating by cleaning, masking, racking, and degreasing.

• Monitor plating solutions, temperatures, chemical levels, and cycle times to ensure consistent quality.

• Inspect plated parts for defects such as pits, burns, uneven coating, discoloration, or adhesion issues.

• Maintain accurate production records, including bath logs and quality documentation.

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tanks, filters, and work areas.

• Follow all safety procedures for handling chemicals and hazardous materials.

• Support team in meeting daily production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to get on base/pass a background check.

• Must be able to pass a physical.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must be able to travel during the month.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1+ year plating, metal finishing, or industrial production experience a plus-not required. (training is provided).

• Ability to read work instructions, follow specifications, and use basic measurement tools.

• Comfortable working around chemicals, wet environments, and lifting up to [25–50 lbs].

• Strong attention to detail, safety-focused, and reliable attendance.

Work Environment:

• Industrial/production setting; exposure to chemicals, fumes, and PPE requirements.

• Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks throughout shift.
