Location: Shreveport, LA Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Engineering Technician to support facility maintenance, basic construction, and equipment upkeep. This role is ideal for someone with basic carpentry skills, general handyman experience, and the ability to assist with a variety of maintenance and engineering-related tasks. The position offers steady hours, competitive pay, and a full benefits package.
Perform basic carpentry work (framing, drywall repair, door and hardware installation, minor construction projects)
Complete general handyman and maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs
Assist with installation, repair, and upkeep of equipment and facility systems
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Troubleshoot issues and report findings to supervisors or engineers
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Assist with other duties as assigned
Basic carpentry skills required
General handyman or maintenance experience preferred
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High school diploma or GED preferred
