A well-established and stable organization in the Springfield, IL area is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations and provide financial leadership across the business. This is a key role working closely with senior leadership and offers long-term stability, growth potential, and employee ownership.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

• Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions

• Provide financial insight and recommendations to leadership

• Manage and develop accounting staff as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred

• Advanced Excel and accounting system experience

• Detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary $115,000+ (depending on experience)
