Quality Assurance Manager / SQF Practitioner

Location: Tampa FL 33614  Onsite, Full-time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay:  $100K-$130K based on experience

Bilingual (Spanish/English) Required

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager / SQF Practitioner to lead food safety, quality systems, and audit readiness. This role supports the implementation of a new safety program, oversees SQF and HACCP compliance, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Bilingual Spanish/English is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety programs

• Help implement and manage the company’s new safety program

• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and state regulations

• Oversee QA team and daily quality checks

• Manage internal/external audits and maintain documentation

• Investigate non-conformances; implement CAPA

• Manage product holds and disposition

• Train staff on food safety, quality, and safety procedures

• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Sanitation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field OR 5+ years food safety experience

• 5+ years QA/QC experience in food manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and regulatory compliance

• Bilingual Spanish/English required

• Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work in refrigerated/frozen areas and lift up to 50 lbs
