Bilingual Medical Assistant – Surgical Practice (Fort Myers, FL)

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting a Bilingual Medical Assistant for a well-established and respected surgical practice in Fort Myers. Key Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures

• Obtain and document blood pressure, vital signs, and patient medical history

• Assist providers during examinations and minor surgical procedures

• Perform suture removal as directed by the provider

• Administer medications or injections per provider orders (no IV experience required)

• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; perform basic lab testing as needed

• Complete accurate charting and maintain electronic medical records (EMR), including ModMed

• Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and verify insurance information

• Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care

• Clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments; maintain exam rooms and medical supplies

• Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Previous Medical Assistant experience required

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

• Experience with ModMed (EMA) EMR system

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications

• Must be bilingual in Spanish (written and spoken)

• Vascular, surgical, cardiovascular, or other specialty practice experience is a strong plus
