Job Summary

The Load Securement Attendant is responsible for inspecting and verifying that trucks entering and exiting the port are properly loaded and secured according to safety and port requirements. This role involves visual inspections, documentation, and communication with drivers and port personnel. The position requires limited physical activity and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and outgoing trucks to confirm loads are properly secured

• Verify compliance with port, safety, and load securement standards

• Document inspections accurately using required forms or electronic systems

• Communicate any load issues or discrepancies to drivers and supervisors

• Ensure inspection records are complete and properly maintained

• Follow all port security, safety, and operational procedures

• Work efficiently to support smooth truck flow in and out of the port

Physical Requirements

• Limited physical activity

• Standing and walking for portions of the shift

• Visual inspections of truck loads (no heavy lifting required)

Requirements

• Valid TWIC Card (required)

• Ability to work in an outdoor port environment

• Strong attention to detail and basic documentation skills

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Prior port, logistics, or transportation experience is a plus but not required
