Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and creative Professional Chef to prepare high-quality cuisine that complements wine offerings and enhances the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate brings a strong culinary background, an appreciation for wine pairings, and the ability to execute refined dishes in a winery or hospitality-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute seasonal menus designed to pair with winery wines
Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion standards
Collaborate with winery management and tasting room staff to support events, tastings, and private functions
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Manage prep, service flow, and kitchen organization during service hours and special events
Monitor product freshness, inventory levels, and minimize food waste
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional kitchen environment
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a chef or cook in a winery, restaurant, catering, or hospitality setting
Knowledge of wine-friendly cuisine and basic food-and-wine pairing principles
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently in a small kitchen environment
Must own and maintain personal professional chef tools, including knives and essential culinary equipment
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and special winery events
