Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing and production environment. This is a full-time, highly skilled role intended for technicians with hands-on experience maintaining, repairing, and optimizing industrial machinery.

We are seeking a technician who can break down machines, set them back up, adjust tolerances, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision. HVAC experience is a plus, but the core focus is industrial equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

As a Skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Diagnosing, breaking down, and repairing industrial machines to restore operation quickly and safely.
Performing machine setup, alignment, calibration, and start-up after repairs or changeovers.
Adjusting tolerances, settings, and tooling to meet production specifications.
Troubleshooting electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, motors, switches, and control components.
Identifying root causes of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic failures.
Performing preventative maintenance (PMs) to reduce downtime and extend machine life.
Changing out materials, components, belts, bearings, motors, and other wear parts.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and alignment tools.
Supporting production teams during machine changeovers and process adjustments.
Maintaining detailed maintenance logs and documenting completed work.
Following all safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.

Requirements

Industrial maintenance experience required (this is a skilled role, not entry-level).
Strong mechanical aptitude with proven experience working on industrial machines.
Electrical troubleshooting experience required.
Ability to break down, rebuild, and set up machinery independently.
Experience adjusting tolerances and calibrating equipment.
HVAC experience a plus, but not required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical work.
Reliable attendance and consistent work history (tenure strongly preferred).

Skills & Qualifications

Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
Preventative and corrective maintenance practices.
Machine alignment, calibration, and tolerance control.
Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks.
Safety-first mindset in an industrial environment.
Welding/fabrication repair skills a plus (not required).

Shifts & Hours

Full-time schedules available
1st and/or 2nd shift opportunities depending on facility needs
Overtime may be available based on production demands
