Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a CDL Driver for a local delivery role. This is a full-time, 1st shift position with no overnight routes, offering steady hours and competitive pay.

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused driver with at least 2–3 years of CDL driving experience who is comfortable with both manual and automatic transmissions and can assist with loading and unloading heavy materials.

Responsibilities

As a CDL Driver, your responsibilities will include:

Safely operating manual and automatic commercial vehicles.
Completing local delivery routes only (home daily, no overnight travel).
Planning efficient delivery routes to meet daily schedules.
Loading and unloading materials by hand as needed, including heavy lifting.
Verifying delivery documentation and ensuring accurate drop-offs.
Communicating professionally with customers and internal teams.
Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
Maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
Keeping vehicles clean and reporting maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements

Valid CDL license (Class A or B, as required by client).
2–3 years of CDL driving experience required.
Comfortable driving manual and automatic transmissions.
Ability to lift and move heavy items consistently.
Strong route planning and time-management skills.
Clean MVR and ability to pass pre-employment screening.
Reliable attendance and consistent work history (tenure required).
Safety-first mindset and strong attention to detail.

Professional customer service and communication.
Ability to work independently and manage daily routes efficiently.

Shifts & Hours

1st Shift, Full-Time
Monday – Friday
No overnight routes
Overtime may be available based on workload

Pay & Benefits

$19.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience.
Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals.
