The Specialized Recruiting Group, a division of Express Employment Professionals in Ithaca, NY is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Manager for a busy client in the Ithaca/Cortland, NY area. The Human Resources Manager will provide direct services in a number of Human Resources areas and serve as the point of contact for senior level management and employees.

Responsibilities include:

• Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
• Administer compensation, benefits, diversity and performance management systems, and wellness programs.
• Plan and conduct new employee orientations to foster a positive culture and employee engagement
• Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and helping resolve work-related problems.
• Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants
• Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, and employee relations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in either Human Resources or a business-related field.  Also, must have previous experience in an HR role serving the organization as a subject matter expert in employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compensation, wellness, and organizational development. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and strong verbal and written communication skills.
