Graduate Engineer

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill a Graduate Engineer position in Dickinson, ND. This role involves working on municipal projects from planning through construction, contributing to project design and development of plans and specifications, and serving as a resident project representative during construction. The Graduate Engineer will report to a Project Manager or Senior Engineer.

Job Details:

• Salary: $30 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

• Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

• Type: Full-time position

Responsibilities:

• Participate in municipal project planning, design, and construction.

• Develop plans and specifications, and report to a Project Manager or Senior Engineer.

• Serve as a resident project representative during construction.

• Provide civil engineering services, including planning, design, reports, construction observation, and project management.

• Communicate updates and progress with supervisors and project managers.

• Attend various meetings, prepare proposals, and engage in business development activities.

• Ensure adherence to company CADD procedures, safety policies, and employee handbook.

• Perform tasks independently and as part of a team.

• Participate in professional organizations and community leadership programs.

• Handle travel and out-of-town stays, and work overtime during construction season.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year.

• 0-5 years of experience in Civil Engineering.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn CADD software.
