Maintenance Supervisor – Resort Operations
Location: Sunriver, Oregon
Pay Rate: $26 per hour
Schedule: 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m., varying shifts and days off
As a key member of the Resort Operations Team, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance technicians, coordinating repair and upkeep activities, and ensuring that all resort facilities and equipment remain in excellent condition. This role plays a vital part in delivering a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all owners and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all units and public area amenities are fully operational by effectively managing maintenance functions and staff.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Train, mentor, and support the development of maintenance team members.
- Plan and prepare employee work schedules, balancing business needs with employee requests.
- Assign daily tasks and provide guidance and assistance as needed.
- Inspect completed work to verify compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Address performance and personnel matters, including conducting annual performance appraisals and communicating company policies.
- Establish, implement, and maintain departmental operational standards and procedures.
- Investigate service or equipment-related complaints and take appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain accurate records of work hours, budgets, payroll, and other required documentation.
- Respond to guest service requests promptly, professionally, and courteously.
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine maintenance needs.
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Uphold and enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Report employee injuries and incidents to resort management or Human Resources.
- Comply with all city, county, federal, and OSHA regulations.
- Perform or assist with maintenance duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- CPO certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of related maintenance experience.
- Basic computer proficiency, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Sound judgment when interacting with owners, guests, and staff.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license.*
Physical Demands
The role requires regular standing, walking, and the use of hands for handling, reaching, and performing maintenance tasks. The position may involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds and may need to exert force to push or pull objects up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
